What is Inspire at the Grainery?
Inspire at the Grainery is a premier hair salon and day spa based in Syracuse, founded in January 2021 by Claudia Gasiorowski, a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment. Our Vision

Our History
Inspire is situated in the Grainery Building located in downtown Syracuse. Originally known as the Granary, this structure was built in 1885 as a warehouse for storing grain transported via the nearby canals. The Oswego Canal ran directly behind the building, merging with the Erie Canal one block to the south. Initially constructed with three stories, a fourth floor was added during the 20th century.
When planning to establish Inspire, we evaluated numerous floorplans and concepts, but it became clear immediately upon viewing this building that it would be perfect for our objectives. The building had previously served as warehouse space, office space, and an artist’s loft among other uses. Construction commenced on the 1st and 2nd floors in 2019 and continued through the pandemic. On January 22, 2021, Inspire at the Grainery formally opened its doors. Changes are still underway as we are currently converting the 3rd and 4th floors into a medi spa.
